Sigma Theta Psi's National Philanthropy is Breast Cancer. Our sisterhood has dedicated itself to promote awareness of this disease in its various campuses and communities. Sigma Theta Psi has accomplished its goals through participation with the American Cancer Society (ACS) and events such as ACS Relay for Life, ACS Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Avon Run/Walk, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and other events that raise money and awareness about breast cancer.                 We strive to promote breast cancer awareness by hosting two national events promoted regionally and nine chapter events hosted by local chapters.

Along the lines of some of our philanthropic goals, we also award a recipient with a monetary donation designed to help with medical bills or other costs associated with the hardship the disease incurs. Originating from the true spirit of love and compassion that we Sisters of Sigma Theta Psi, Inc. feel in our philanthropy, "The Gift of Love" is given to victims of breast cancer and breast cancer survivors.
