Nayeli D. Plascencia has been a California State University of Long Beach Alumni since May 2004. She double majored in Finance and International Business. and plans to pursue an MBA program also at CSULB. She is currently working as an Account Executive at her family business, Ramcast Steel & Tube, where she has been involved in multiple departments. Trying to keep her options open, she dedicated herself to learning as much as possible about teh steel industry. Through accounting, sales, and purchasing, she has obtained an extra knowledgable experience in the growing steel industry. Nayeli plans to have her own steel tube and ornamental design company within five years, which will develop to become a high-profile importing and exporting international steel company.
Nayeli is proud to be the National Board Vice-President of Sigma Theta Psi for the 2005-2007 cycle. She joined the sisterhood in Fall 2001, and has since dedicated herself to the chapter and national organization. Nayeli has held all positions available within her chapter, and has remained involved through National Board and an active Alumnus. She has volunteered in many philanthropy events with the purpose of raising monetary assistance for cancer patients and survivors. For instance, she volunteered in Sigma Theta Psi's two Double-D brunches, Whittier's Relay for Life, and in the Luekemia & Lymphoma Associations Relay in San Diego. Nayeli will continue to leave a mark not only in her chapter, but in the sorority as a whole.
