Amanda Johnson
Amanda K. Johnson is presently a senior at Stanford University double majoring in Human Biology with a concentration in modern human development and Spanish.  Studying abroad in Santiago, Chile has reaffirmed her desire to practice medicine on an international level, but her more local goals include opening clinics with a high degree of socio-cultural competency that specialize in the care of women in under-served communities. To this end, she plans to obtain masters degrees in public health and business administration and a medical degree with a specialization in obstetrics and gynecology. Being a Sister of Sigma Theta Psi, Multicultural Interest Sorority is Amanda’s proudest and most satisfying accomplishment at Stanford University. Beginning with the relationships forged her freshman year in pledging for the Beta Class of the Delta Chapter of Sigma Theta Psi Sorority, she has found the confidence and support to meet her goals and become an active participant in broadening dialogues of diversity on-campus and the surrounding communities. Having planned a national formal and served as Academic Chair and liaison to the African-American community as a neophyte and serving as Vice-President and Treasurer this past year, she continues a tradition of service to the Delta Chapter in the capacity of President and is also holding her first National Board position as Secretary.
