The name "The Gift of Love" originated from the true spirit of love and compassion, along with monetary support, that the sisters of Sigma Theta Psi, Inc. provide to its beneficiaries. The purpose of "The Gift of Love" resulted from the desire of a hands on opportunity to work with victims of breast cancer and breast cancer survivors. It is this way that sisters of Sigma Theta Psi, Inc. have personalized their participation in breast cancer.
