Martha Medina
Martha Cristina Medina is a recent graduate from CSU Monterey Bay zeta chapter, alpha class. Medina crossed in the spring of 2003 and the first to graduate from her class. While Medina was at school she was part of clubs such as the Otter Realm Club which dedicates itself to the school newspaper and the Multicultural Feminist Club, a club which empowers women. Medina studied to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Human Communications with a concentration in journalism and media analysis. Besides Medina’s studies, she has completed four internships with: mun2 television, Telemundo, Santa Cruz Sentinel and Population Services International (PSI). Medina’s interests include pursuing her career as a journalist, as well as continuing her goal of being a full figure model and someday being the host of her own television show. Medina has participated in photo shoots, hosting for events, and in documentaries. Medina said that being part of Sigma Theta Psi is one of the best moments of her life, she has met intelligent, educated and goal striving women. In the past Medina has held the positions for her chapter as multicultural chair, and sergeant at arms. Medina currently holds the position for Sigma Theta Psi National Board Multicultural Chair. “I owe a lot to my sorority, and when ever I have doubts I know I can count on Sigma Theta Psi for advice, support, sisterhood and love.”
